contact print photoshoot

Analysis;

I choose to do a photo shoot of this kind as I really liked Pablo Picasso's work, especially 'the woman with mandolin'. I find his work very interesting and very enjoyable to view so, by doing a very simple photo shoot with minimal make up and a neutral background, it would give me the opportunity to explore his work even more by trying to create something like his. I like this photo because it was unexpected, so there is no enforcement within it at all. Its all natural which I wanted seen as though the colours used within cubism are very subtle,  however, I didn't want to make it obvious.

With the futurism photo shoot, I wanted to change things slightly to make it more eye-catching. Personally I think that futurism would look nicer if vivid colour was used however, I didn't want to use  a man made background, therefore, I chose a place with unusual sunlight but a place where it emphasised the colours and I think this photo does. However, I still kept the black theme when it came to dressing my model as I didn't want to scrap the history of futurism within my project all together.
