DUOTONES;
EVALUATIONS;
This image caught my eye because of the amount of detail threw the background in stead of the background. This particular photograph caught my eye because of the very distinctive and elongated tape running threw the middle; slightly on an angle. The colour black is the most bold, drawing you eye straight to it. The use of lighting is a mixture of natural sun light and flash. I used both because I wanted it to be light but also have a reflection in the black sections of the tape to create more detail.
This image inspired me through its use of many layers, creating a lot of depth. Instead of focusing on the foreground, I focused on the background to show a different variety to my work. Also, there are other colour such as white and green but, because the yellow pops so much, it becomes obvious that the main is yellow. I used the blemish tool in Photoshop on some of the daisy's petals because I wanted it t look clean.
I found it very difficult to find an exact match to magenta so when I did, there was no doubt that I would be using this particular photograph. The definition of the light within the image shows a lot of dimension and different angles almost making it 3D. The way that I focused on the 'magenta' is also another aspect that I enjoy about this photograph, especially because it is contrasting against the actual colour. I placed it onto a windowsill to use the natural light of the sun because I dint want it to be forced.
This image inspired me through its use of different tones of the colour cyan but still allowing the boldest to be the main focus of the photograph. The definition of the light used also lets the boldest shade of cyan stand out the most also. Although I would of liked to use natural light for this photo, the room where this source was placed was very dull so I was forced to use the flash to create the dramatic look I was aiming for. However, I think the outcome of this photo was I was looking for.
I was content in using this photograph because of the subtle use of blue within it. Unlike the others I had a choice of, this photograph uses a different tone of blue which caught my eye. However, if you analyse the photograph closely, the buds of the flowers are a very dark shade of blue, giving us another variation. I also choose this picture because of the uniqueness of each individual shape of the flowers, capturing them all at different angles. Although using Photoshop gave me the option of filling the little holes on each petal; which I did consider doing, I embraced the shape and the end product I find enjoyable.
This photograph caught my eye because the only colour used is green. I also like the fact that the detail starts in the middle, drawing your eye straight to the main focus. This makes the viewer analyse everything within the boarders of this image. From the roughed edges of the leaf, to the silky finish on the top. I also like the slight reflection of the sun light in a few of the leaves; its all natural and nature, part of mother nature.
I chose this picture because its the only photo that I captured without any sun light or with the flash on. I liked how it was a natural source of light for itself and also the natural curvaceous lines it produces. Furthermore, the different tones of red, light and dark creates a lot of depth which it produces by itself again. I like how independent fire is, creating a beautiful picture each time without having to adjust anything. Its beautiful always.
