Task 2- trip

Trip work & analysis;

Before the trip into Knaresborough and Harrogate, I had never used a film camera before. Because of this and the fact there was a chance of exposing my film, I asked one of our tutors to assist me loading my film. After doing loads of research before hand about the aperture and shutter speed, I found out that the safest setting for a cloudy day was f/16 and 120. However, I wasn't getting a green dot at all. So, I tried other settings but I was just getting the same result. Then I tried bulb and although the green dot was faded, it was still there. Therefore, I was shooting all my pictures with bulb.

After receiving my negatives after they were processed, they all but a few came out black. When using bulb, I didn't realise that you had to change the aperture as well, of course because there was a faded green dot but, you do as the film becomes over exposed. I thought This was the reason that my negatives came out black but because of the positioning of the lighter ones were at the beginning of the film and the fact the film that separates the picture was also black, i realised that i fogged my film.
